Your Questions, Answered
We know that navigating the NDIS can sometimes feel overwhelming, so we’ve answered some of the most common questions we get about funding, eligibility, and how to get started with Better Hand Support Care Services. If you’re still unsure, don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re always here to help.
To be eligible for the NDIS, you must have a permanent and significant disability that affects your ability to take part in everyday activities. Eligibility is generally assessed on factors such as whether you need support to do daily tasks and whether your disability is likely to be lifelong. You must also be aged between 7 and 65 years and either be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident, or hold a Protected Special Category Visa. The NDIS also considers whether early intervention would be beneficial. If you're unsure about your eligibility, you can use the NDIS Access Checklist or give us a call, and we can guide you through the process.
Once you're eligible for the NDIS, your funding will be based on your individual support needs. You’ll work with an NDIS planner to create a personalised plan that outlines the services and supports you need to achieve your goals. These can include assistance with daily living, community participation, capacity building, and more. Your NDIS plan will be reviewed regularly, and you can request changes if your circumstances change. At Better Hand, we’re here to help you understand how to make the most of your NDIS funding and ensure you’re accessing the right supports. So give us a call.
Getting started with Better Hand is simple. Just call, and we’ll arrange a free consultation to discuss your needs and goals and so you can determine if we're a good fit for you. We’ll work with you to understand what kind of support you’re looking for. If you decide to go ahead, we'll come up with a plan together that's tailored specifically to you. Whether you’re new to the NDIS or looking to switch providers, we’re here to make the process as easy and stress-free as possible.
